If you didn't get a good night's sleep last night, it's no surprise that you might feel a bit groggy this morning. When you're tired, slogging through the day can feel almost impossible. Every task seems impossibly difficult and all you can think about is crawling back into bed. So how do you get a better night's rest to feel more refreshed during the day?

Go to bed early. Don't wait until you're tired - sometimes the simple act of getting into your pajamas, flipping off the light and crawling under the covers can trigger some sleepiness you didn't know you were harboring. If you've ever been tired all afternoon and gotten a sudden burst of energy right as it's time to go to bed, you know that sometimes, it's better just to lie down and see if you can drift off - even if you don't feel tired at the moment.

Getting more exercise can also help you get that much needed shuteye. If you never feel sleepy by bedtime, hitting the gym could help you work your body so that you'll be more ready to hit the hey at a reasonable hour. Plus, it'll be good for your waistline and your health!
