Scorpio Astrology

Which of the 12 astrological sign is considered by many to be the most intense and powerful?  That would be Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 21) - natural ruler of the Eighth House of the Zodiac commonly referred to as the House of Death and Inheritance. It is the place that rules beginnings and endings, mysteries and finances, sexual attitudes and behaviors.

Scorpio is a water sign and negative in polarity.  Water and earth signs are considered to be feminine signs more focused on emotion and depth of feeling.  Negative polarity signs lean toward introversion and tend to be more sensitive and nurturing.  Not quite your social butterfly, however, Scorpios are pleasant to be with, thoughtful in conversation, dignified and reserved, affable and courteous. They are also likely to be more cautious and tight-lipped about their personal feelings. Scorpios are also very driven, competitive, and take charge individuals who seek to be in control.  At times, their zeal can become judgmental and vindictive.

So How Does Scorpio Fare in Relationships?

Scorpio men can be intensely emotional and passionate. Indeed the strong and silent type, Scorpio men are often reticent when it comes to expressing their feelings.  Mysterious by nature, don’t be surprised if you cannot read your Scorpio.  Yet he will be direct and very candid with you.  In a relationship, the Scorpio male can be very loyal, supportive and protective of his partner. However, at times, he may be overbearing and feel the need for emotional security.

In a relationship, the Scorpio woman will play it cool with her emotions until you have earned her complete trust.  But beneath this secretive veil lies a sexually charged woman with intense passion. Once she feels safe, she will be an extremely loyal and committed partner.  Whatever you do though, do not violate your Scorpio’s trust.  For hell hath no fury like a Scorpio scorned.

Keeping a Scorpio will require patience and understanding on your part for they like to be in control – even in relationships. Scorpio is most compatible with Cancer, Pisces, Capricorn and Virgo.  Scorpio is least compatible with Leo and Aquarius.  That does not necessarily mean that your relationship cannot work if you are connected with either of these signs.  But, you should learn what incompatibilities may arise and work to head them off before they become a real problem. Watch for jealousy, resentment and vindictiveness.
