Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23), the seventh sign of the zodiac is commonly represented by the scale, symbolizing balance, equality, and equilibrium. Libra’s are born with sense of justice and fairness.  They are creative and seek to establish balance and harmony in the world around them.  Their innate sense of balance allows them to see issues with a balanced perspective, understanding the argument on both sides.

A Libra is happiest when their universe is balanced and sense of fairness has been established. They excel in roles that allow them to exercise this need for justice and fairness, such as lawyers, judges, marriage counselors, matchmakers, etc.

So How Does Libra Fare in Relationships?

In matters of the heart Libra’s don’t feel complete if they are not in love.  In fact, they detest being alone and require love and companionship.  However, don’t confuse their need for love as an easy way into a Libra’s heart.  The Libra man has an ideal of what their future mate is supposed to represent.  Similarly, the Libra woman thrives on romance.  She also has an ideal of what her future soul mate embodies. 

Don’t despair if a Libra is the object of your affection and you are not meeting his or her expectation – no one will.  They recognize this and will reward you with their heart and affection -- be patient.  Remember, they need to have a sense for balance and harmony.  They do not respond well to confrontation; this will likely drive them away.  Conversely, don’t be afraid to take the lead on making decisions.  Libra’s can be indecisive and appreciate being led.

Libra Compatibility

Libra is most compatible with Gemini, Leo, Aquarius, and Sagittarius.  Libra is least compatible with Capricorn and Cancer.  That is not to say that your relationship is doomed if you are a Libra with a Capricorn or Cancer.  But, it may mean that you should learn why incompatibilities could arise and work to head them off before they become a real problem. Watch for self-indulgence, and indecisiveness.
